Wangdue, Bhutan
The last town in Western Bhutan, Wangdue Phodrang is the beginning of the captivating ‘Shaman’ culture and the pretentiousness talks of Shaa. Legends have it that Zhabdrung Rinpoche, while looking for an optimal area for a dzong, experienced a guiltless nearby kid hurrying along the riverbank. He was so moved by the kid’s blamelessness that he named the dzong as ‘Wangdi’s Palace’ and in the long run the whole area got its name Wangdue Phodrang or Wangdue or Wangdi.
Red Pandas, Leopards, Tigers, Black Necked Cranes, White-Bellied Heron, and Spotted Eagle are a portion of the uncommon and colorful natural life and avifauna species found around here. The place is around 100 kilometers away from the capital. One can easily commute to the place. Make sure you visit the place and have a great time and learn about the rich Bhutanese culture. I am sure one will have a great time in the place.
